ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣ ਬਹੁਤੇ ਮੈ ੲੇਕੁ ਨ ਜਾਣਿਅਾ
ਮੈ ਮੂਰਖ ਕਿਛੁ ਦੀਜੈ।।
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਗੁਣ ਹਨ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ੲਿੱਕ ਦੀ ਭੀ ਸਮਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੂਰਖ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੀ ਸਮਝ ਬਖਸ਼।
Your virtues are so numerous, but i do not realize even one of them; i am such a fool, please bless me with wise understanding.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋੲੀ ਨਰੁ ਸੁਖੀਅਾ
ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵੈ।।
ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਫਰਮਾੳੁਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ੳੁਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੁਖੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾੳੁਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਜੋ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ)।

ਜਿੳੁ ਜਿੳੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਤਿਵੈ ਤਿੳੁ ਹੋਵਣਾ।।
ਜਹ ਜਹ ਰਖਹਿ ਅਾਪਿ ਤਹ ਜਾੲਿ ਖੜੋਵਣਾ।।
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜਗਤ ਵਿੱਚ ੳੁਸੇ ਤਰਾਂ ਵਰਤਾਰਾ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿੱਥੇ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਤੂੰ ਅਾਪ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ੳੁੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਜੀਵ ਜਾ ਖੜੋਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਦੁਖਿ ਸੁਖਿ ਪਿਅਾਰੇ ਤੁਧੁ ਧਿਅਾੲੀ
ੲੇਹ ਸੁਮਤਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇ ਪਾੲੀ।।
ਹੇ ਪਿਅਾਰੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ! ਦੁੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਸਿਅਾ ਪਿਅਾ ਹੋਵਾਂ, ਜਾਂ ਸੁੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾਂ ਹੋਵਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਸਦਾ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਧਿਅਾੳੁਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ੲਿਹ ਚੰਗੀ ਅਕਲ ਮੈਂ ਅਾਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਲੲੀ ਹੈ।
In suffering & in comfort, I meditate on you, O beloved Lord. I have obtained this sublime understanding from the Guru.
ਅਕਿਰਤਘਣਾ ਕਾ ਕਰੇ ੳੁਧਾਰੁ।।
ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੈ ਸਦਾ ਦੲਿਅਾਰੁ।।
ਹੇ ਭਾੲੀ! ੳੁਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾ-ਸ਼ੁਕਰਿਅਾਂ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਪਾਰ ੳੁਤਾਰਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਦਾ ਦੲਿਅਾ ਦਾ ਘਰ ਹੈ।
He saves even the ungrateful; my Lord is forever merciful.
