ਪਰ ਕਾ ਬੁਰਾ ਨ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਚੀਤ।।

ਤੁਮ ਕੳੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਨਹੀ ਭਾੲੀ ਮੀਤ।।

ਹੇ ਵੀਰ! ਹੇ ਮਿੱਤਰ! ਕਦੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਦਾ ਬੁਰਾ ਨਾ ਚਿਤਵਿਅਾ ਕਰੋ। (ਕਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਇੱਛਾ ਨਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਣ ਦਿਓ ਕਿ ਕਿਸੇ ਨਾ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਹੋਵੇ। ਇਸ ਦਾ ਸਿੱਟਾ ਇਹ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ) ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਕੋਈ ਦੁੱਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੋਹ ਸਕੇਗਾ।

ਰੂਪਵੰਤੁ ਸੋ ਚਤੁਰੁ ਸਿਅਾਣਾ।।

ਜਿਨਿ ਜਨਿ ਮਾਨਿਅਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾ ਭਾਣਾ।।

ੳੁਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਹੈ, ੳੁਹੀ ਤੀਖਣ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਤੇ ੳੁਹੀ ਸਿਅਾਣਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਨੂੰ (ਸਦਾ ਸਿਰ ਮੱਥੇ ੳੁੱਤੇ) ਮੰਨਿਅਾ ਹੈ।

ਫਰੀਦਾ ਪਿਛਲ ਰਾਤਿ ਨ ਜਾਗਿਓਹਿ

ਜੀਵਦੜੋ ਮੁੲਿਓਹਿ।।

ਜੇ ਤੈ ਰਬੁ ਵਿਸਾਰਿਅਾ ਤ ਰਬਿ ਨ ਵਿਸਰਿਓਹਿ।।

ਹੇ ਫਰੀਦ! ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਵੇਲੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਗਿਅਾ ਤਾਂ (ੲਿਹ ਕੋਝਾ ਜੀਵਨ) ਜਿੳੁਂ ਕੇ ਵੀ ਤੂੰ ਮਰਿਅਾ ਹੋੲਿਅਾ ਹੈਂ। ਤੂੰ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਰੱਬ ਨੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਭੁਲਾੲਿਅਾ, ਭਾਵ ਫਿਰ ਵੀ ੳੁਹ ਦੀਨ ਦੲਿਅਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

O Farid! If you do not wake out at the time of Amrit, you have also been loved. Even if you have forgotten God, God did not forget you, the God will give you the Most happiness.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਹੋੲਿ ਦੲਿਅਾਲੁ  

ਨ ਕਬਹੂੰ ਝੂਰੀਅੈ।।

ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੇ, ਉਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਆਉਣ ਤੇ ਕਦੇ ਗਿਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ।

ਕਹਿ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਕਹਾ ਕੈਸੇ ਕੀਜੈ।।

ਬਿਨੁ ਰਘੁਨਾਥ ਸਰਨਿ ਕਾ ਕੀ ਲੀਜੈ।।

ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਥੇ ਜਾੲੀਏ? ਹੋਰ ਕੀ ਕਰੀਏ ? (ੲਿਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਣ ਲੲੀ) ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ।

Says Ravidas, what to do? where to go now? without the sanctuary of the Lord, who else protection shall I seek?

ਪ੍ਰਣਵਤਿ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਤਾਰੇ ਸੋੲਿ।।

ਮੈਂ ਚੰਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਮਾੜਾ ਨਹੀਂ; (ਜੋ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਹਉਮੈ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਨਾਨਕ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਬੰਦੇ ਖੋਜੁ ਦਿਲ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ

ੲਿਹ ਜੁ ਦੁਨੀਅਾ ਸਿਹਰੁ ਮੇਲਾ 

ਦਸਤਗੀਰੀ ਨਾਹਿ।।

ਹੇ ਬੰਦੇ! ਅਾਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਦਿਲ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਖੋਜ, ਘਬਰਾਹਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾਂ ਭਟਕ। ੲਿਹ ਜਗਤ ੲਿੱਕ ਜਾਦੂ ਦਾ ਤਮਾਸ਼ਾ ਹੈ, ੲਿਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹੱਥ ਪੱਲੇ ਪੈਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਕੋੲੀ ਸ਼ੈ ਨਹੀਂ।

O human being, search your own heart every day and do not wander around in confusion. This world is just a magic show; you will not get anything from it.

ਧੰਨ ਜੀਓ ਤਿਹ ਕੋ ਜਗ ਮੈ

ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਚਿੱਤ ਮੈ ਜੁਧੁ ਬਿਚਾਰੈ।।

ਜਗਤ ਵਿੱਚ ੳੁਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਜੀੳੁਣਾ ਧੰਨ ਹੈ (ਜੋ) ਮੁੱਖ ਤੋਂ ਹਰਿ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਅਾਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਅੰਦਰ ਧਰਮ ਯੁੱਧ ਦਾ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਪਾਲਦੇ ਹਨ।
