ਹਮ ਨਹੀ ਚੰਗੇ ਬੁਰਾ ਨਹੀ ਕੋੲਿ।।

ਪ੍ਰਣਵਤਿ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਤਾਰੇ ਸੋੲਿ।।

ਮੈਂ ਚੰਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਮਾੜਾ ਨਹੀਂ; (ਜੋ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਹਉਮੈ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਨਾਨਕ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

I am not good & no one is bad; (One who realizes this by renouncing his ego) Prays Nanak, God saves such people! (from the ocean of this world.)

ਜੋ ਜਨ ਤੁਮਰੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰੰਤੇ

ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਕਾਜ ਸਵਾਰਤਾ।।

ਹੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ! ਜੋ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਤੇਰੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤੂੰ ੳੁਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਜ ਸਿਰੇ ਚਾੜਦਾ ਹੈਂ।

ਮਾਨੁ ਕਰੳੁ ਤੁਧੁ ੳੂਪਰੈ

ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਪਿਅਾਰੇ।।

ਹਮ ਅਪਰਾਧੀ ਸਦ ਭੂਲਤੇ 

ਤੁਮ੍ ਬਖਸ਼ਣਹਾਰੇ।।

ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ! ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਅਾਰੇ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ੳੁੱਤੇ ਫਖਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਅਸੀਂ ਜੀਵ ਸਦਾ ਅਪਰਾਧ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ, ਭੁੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ, ਤੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਬਖਸ਼ਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ।

I take pride in you, O my beloved Dear. I am a sinner, continuously making mistakes; you are the forgiving Lord.

ਬੰਦੇ ਖੋਜੁ ਦਿਲ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ 

ਨਾ ਫਿਰ ਪਰੇਸ਼ਾਨੀ ਮਾਹਿ।।

ੲਿਹ ਜੁ ਦੁਨੀਅਾ ਸਿਹਰੁ ਮੇਲਾ 

ਦਸਤਗੀਰੀ ਨਾਹਿ।।

ਹੇ ਬੰਦੇ! ਅਾਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਦਿਲ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਖੋਜ, ਘਬਰਾਹਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾਂ ਭਟਕ। ੲਿਹ ਜਗਤ ੲਿੱਕ ਜਾਦੂ ਦਾ ਤਮਾਸ਼ਾ ਹੈ, ੲਿਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹੱਥ ਪੱਲੇ ਪੈਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਕੋੲੀ ਸ਼ੈ ਨਹੀਂ।

O human being, search your own heart every day and do not wander around in confusion. This world is just a magic show; you will not get anything from it.

Sri Dasam Granth Sahib : 568

ਧੰਨ ਜੀਓ ਤਿਹ ਕੋ ਜਗ ਮੈ

ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਚਿੱਤ ਮੈ ਜੁਧੁ ਬਿਚਾਰੈ।।

ਜਗਤ ਵਿੱਚ ੳੁਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਜੀੳੁਣਾ ਧੰਨ ਹੈ (ਜੋ) ਮੁੱਖ ਤੋਂ ਹਰਿ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਅਾਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਅੰਦਰ ਧਰਮ ਯੁੱਧ ਦਾ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਪਾਲਦੇ ਹਨ।
