Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji : 612

ਪ੍ਤਿਪਾਲੈ ਨਿਤ ਸਾਰਿ ਸਮਾਲੈ 

ੲਿਕੁ ਗੁਨੁ ਨਹੀ ਮੂਰਖਿ ਜਾਤਾ ਰੇ।।

ਜਿਹੜਾ ਪ੍ਭੂ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਲਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਦਾ ਸਭ ਦੀ ਸਾਰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਮੂਰਖ ਨੇ ੳੁਸ ਪ੍ਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ੲਿੱਕ ਭੀ ੳੁਪਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਿਅਾ।

The almighty Lord always cherishes & cares for all beings, but the fool does not appreciate any of his blessings.

Sukhmani Sahib : Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji : Ang 281

ਚਰਨ ਚਲੳੁ ਮਾਰਗਿ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ।।

ਮਿਟਹਿ ਪਾਪ ਜਪੀਅੈ ਹਰਿ ਬਿੰਦ।।

ਆਪਣੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਰਸਤੇ (ਸੱਚੇ ਮਾਰਗ ਤੇ) ਤੁਰੋ। ਇਕ ਮੁਹਤ ਭਰ ਲਈ ਭੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪਾਪ ਧੋਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

With your feet, walk in the way of the Lord (on the truthful path). Sins are washed away, chanting the Lord's Name, even for a moment.

Salok Sheikh Fareed Ji : Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji : Ang - 1382

ਫਰੀਦਾ ਮੈ ਜਾਨਿਅਾ ਦੁਖੁ ਮੁਝ ਕੂ ਦੁਖੁ ਸਬਾੲਿਅੈ ਜਗਿ।।

ੳੂਚੇ ਚੜਿ ਕੈ ਦੇਖਿਅਾ ਤਾਂ ਘਰਿ ਘਰਿ ੲੇਹਾ ਅਗਿ।।

ਫਰੀਦ, ਮੈਂ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਮੁਸੀਬਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ: ਪਰ ਸਾਰਾ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਮੁਸੀਬਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ! ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਪਹਾੜੀ 'ਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਸ ਪਾਸ ਵੇਖਿਆ, ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਹਰ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਵੇਖਿਆ।

Fareed, I thought that I was in trouble: but whole world is in trouble! When I climbed the hill and looked around, I saw this fire in each and every home.

Guru Nanak Dev Ji : SGGS Ji : 1010

ਜਿਨੀ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਿਸਾਰਿਅਾ 

ਸੇ ਕਿਤੁ ਅਾੲੇ ਸੰਸਾਰਿ।।

ਜਿੰਨਾਂ ਬੰਦਿਅਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਭੁਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ੳੁਹ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਹਦੇ ਲੲੀ ਅਾੲੇ ਹਨ? 

Those who have forgotten the name of the Lord, Why have they even come into the world?

Guru Amar Dass Ji : SGGS Ji : 246

ਹਮ ਮਤਿ ਹੀਣ ਮੂਰਖ ਮੁਗਧ ਅੰਧੇ 

ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਮਾਰਗਿ ਪਾੲੇ।।

ਸਾਨੂੰ ਮੱਤ-ਹੀਣਿਅਾਂ ਨੂੰ, ਮੂਰਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ, ਮਾੲਿਅਾ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੰਨੇ ਹੋੲਿਅਾਂ ਨੂੰ, ਸਤਿਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਸਹੀ ਰਸਤੇ ੳੁੱਤੇ ਪਾੲਿਅਾ ਹੈ।

I am senseless, foolish, idiotic and blind (being engrossed in worldly pleasures). But the True Guru has placed me on the right path.
