ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਭਜੁ ਮਨਾ ਅੰਤਿ ਸਹਾੲੀ ਹੋੲਿ।।

ਹੇ ਭਾੲੀ! ਸੁਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਥੀ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਦੁਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋੲੀ ਸਾਥੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣਦਾ, ਕੋੲੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਲਦਾ। ਨਾਨਕ ਅਾਖਦਾ ਹੈ- ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਤੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਅੰਤ ਸਮੇਂ ਕੇਵਲ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਹੀ ਮਦਦਗਾਰ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਹੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ! ਜਦੋਂ ਕੋੲੀ ਅਾਪ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਲਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਦੋਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਦਰਦ ਤੇ ਤਕਲੀਫਾਂ ੳੁਸਨੂੰ ਚਿੰਬੜ ਜਾਂਦੀਅਾਂ ਹਨ। (ਤੇਰੀ ਯਾਦ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਹੋਰ) ਜੇ ਲੱਖਾਂ ੳੁਪਰਾਲੇ ਭੀ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣ, ਕਿਸੇ ਭੀ ੳੁਪਾਅ ਨਾਲ (ੳੁਹਨਾਂ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਕਲੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਛੁਟਕਾਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ।

ਜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਲਗਨ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਏ ਤਾਂ ਉਸਦੀ ਸੂਰਤ ਉੱਚੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਸੋ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਜੋ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਬੀਚਾਰੈ।।

ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਉਹ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਰਤ ਜੋੜਦਾ ਹੈ।

He alone is a brahmin, who contemplates God.
